Ok. So, we have been really busy this month. Not home too much at all, but we are back and full force forward! So, let us see... where did our July go?
Got to watch the Medina fireworks on July 3rd. Elsie was a little hesitant to play with sparklers, but after watching the neighborhood kids do it, she jumped in and tried it. After no time, she was twirling and whirling them around.
Grandma & Grandpa Jaquet where there to visit too.
Just a shot of my little family during the fireworks.
On July 4th, our awesome friends FINALLY tied the knot! After a decade of dating, Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Thomas are one now ;)
Elsie was completely smitten by this man all night long. She couldn't get enough of him.
She was totally the life of the party. Dancing the night away! I think she had all of the other dad's there a bit green with envy that they didn't have a little girl of their own. She was all over the place. Dancing with everyone, and of course chatting everyone's ear off. That is our Little Miss Social Butterfly for sure. Not a shy bone in her body.
Then, we headed up North to my old stompin' grounds...
We had a lot of playtime with cousins... never mind the cold temperatures! Sam was a little chicken of the pool. He is not a fan of splashing or dumping water over his head unless it is himself doing it.
More pooltime. Elsie got a kick out of Gabe's shark gear. Too funny!
We watched alot of softball. Aubree had her All-Star's tournament. Go #13 ;)
At begining of the following week. Chris & I ditched the kids for the week and headed out to Phoenix. He had some work deal. I taged along for the ride. ...
We stayed at the JW Marriot Camelback Resort. Very nice. I got to look at this while Chris was in his fancy meetings all day long. I must say, I am looking mighty tan (but this OH weather is starting to kill it).
Once he was free of work, we rented a car and drove up to Sedona for the day. We were there two years ago and had to go back. It is truely a beautiful place.
We stuck around for sunset and headed on back to Phoenix.
Late Sunday night, we flew back. The entire time we were gone, Elsie would ask us on the phone if we got her surprise. ... she really wanted a pink jump rope. I couldn't tell you how difficult it was to find such a thing. We did however find a lovely rainbow one that had some pink in it. And that was GOOD! Both the kiddies loved their 'stay-at-home' surprises. Sam got some Cars' cars of his own, and Elsie got a lovely pink princess nighty with pink princess flipflops... AND of course that jump rope!
And of course a shot of Gram DiDi & Bumpa who lovingly took care of our little munchkins. Don't you just love that face that Elsie is giving? That is one of her many "Penny" looks from the movie Bolt. You will get to see more of those.
So this past week has been another adjustment of getting use to the routine again around here. But it has been nice.
Elsie has been loving her beautiful princess dress, and Sam loves to follow her around when she is clunking those shoes on the floor.
Monkey see, monkey do... my little blankie lovers!
Sam loves bathtime in the sink. Sometimes it is nice not to get splashed by a big sister.
And Little Miss Penny. She insisted on the stripe socks, just like Penny. Clearly, I am going to have to get my girl some more stripe socks, and tall ones too. She kept trying to pull them up higher. You know, just like Penny's. What a girl.
Some good ol' fun at our very own playground. Like I said before, 'Monkey see, monkey do.' Sam started to climb the slide and of course, Elsie had to jump in on that fun.
Have you ever seen such a hottie on a bike? Elsie has totally gotten the hang of riding her big girl bike! She jumped on and within no time, she had it nailed.
And this little one is getting the hang of pushing. He starts off standing, attempting to walk, but the little wheels move too fast for him to keep up. So, he just runs on his knees instead. He completely loves it! I did take a video of it. I will have to share it soon... but right now, I have been neglecting my little man. He woke up from his nap awhile ago, but I wanted to finish up this thing ;)
So, there you have it, our July in a nutshell.
