Hello all! Guess what?!? I started getting crafty with my 2013 album! YEAH! I have been keeping up with my pictures and sliding them in their pockets. I just haven't pulled it out to journal and create with it. I've been playing with my 2012 Album instead. BUT seeing that I am almost complete with 2012, I figured I would get creative with 2013.
Here is the cover page...
Awe. It just makes me happy to open my album up and see this. I went back and forth with how I wanted to include everything again this year. I wanted a family picture, a picture of Maggie (she doesn't do well in group shots ;), our ages, and our signatures. Just like last year's album. Although, I had a lot more room to play last year since 2012 started off on a Sunday. I have my weeks run from Monday through Sunday. So this year, I only had the front to play with, which was fun to switch things up.
My favorite part... Yep, those signatures. They just make me smile. Last year, Sam needed my help. This year, he could do it all my himself. He just started to learn (or should I say want) to write his name. Of course Elsie chose to write in pink, and she only felt the need to write it once this year. That could have been because of space restrictions though.
AND I am trying really hard not to twitch too much knowing that I have square corners behind rounded corners. See, I can be a little wild with my album... but don't worry though, I didn't go too crazy wild. You will soon see that the middle pockets for Week One all have matching corners. Round to round and square to square.
Product Used: Becky Higgins Seafoam and Olive kit, Seafoam 12x12 Pattern Paper, Studio Calico's January Project Life Kit (hello 2013 card & woodgrain label), very old Creating Keepsakes kit ("J"), My Mind's Eye Enamel Dot from Lost & Found Ruby, Shipping tag, Bohemian Typewriter Font

I LOVE that you added the names to the cover- definitely going to add this to my album this year. My oldest just started to like to write her name too (4 in March). She likes it LARGE and yellow. Awesome cover page!
