Happy Valentine's Day everyone! What better way to share the love than with more Project Life :) What can I say; it is just part of me. So without further ado, I bring you 2013...
We had the latest night yet. This is our first family picture of 2013 taken at 2:28am. I know, kind of on the late side, but the kids were great! We woke up the next day to spend the entire day in our jammies and enjoyed our annual tradition of cooking hot dogs over the fire. We then ate them in the middle of our living room floor picnic style. What could be better? Well, we are usually watching hockey too, but we all know that didn't happen this year.
... Then we have our paleontologists, 2012 holiday ornaments, swimming in January, saying goodbye to our Christmas tree, and LOTS of Lego love.
Did you notice my square corners? Yep, I have issues. Matchy matchy for me. It's just the way my brain works for this kind of stuff. Since all the cards I have are rounded, I had to get creative. I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper and used a label for the Happy 2013 card. The January card was part of the Studio Calico January Project Life kit. I trimmed it down and matted it on the back of the picture from the cover page. I used a small heart stamp to cover the days of this week. The ledger card came in the same PL kit as a promotional item. Perfectly perfect square and rounded corners working side by side.
The big story for this week, our first trip to the ER, and Sam was the winner! Didn't take him long, did it? He was running circles in the house, tripped/slide on the wood floor, and put his tooth into his lip. Of course, this happens as I am in the middle of dinner. Lucky for us, Chris had just walked through the door. The bleeding wouldn't slow down enough to get a good look at how deep the cut had gone. Chris made the "Vet's" son decision to at least take him to Urgent Care. While there, the doctor couldn't get a good look at it either, so he sent them on to the Childern's ER. Long story short, all was good in the end. Although, He now has a beautiful grey tooth for his cute smile. Good thing it is a baby tooth!
Product Used: Becky Higgins Olive and Seafoam Edition, Studio Calico's January Project Life kit, Martha Stewart Label, PSX Antique Lowercase Alphabet set (heart), 7gypsies Days of the Week stamp, American Crafts Ultimate Craft Pen Fine (black), American Crafts Memory Marker (Leaf), Prima Chalk ink (Moss Lawn, Vintage Pink), Bohemian Typewriter Font
So did you notice that lovely Olive Edition title card and journaling cards? At first, I was thinking this kit would be too girlie for our family album, but it really isn't! With the cards being double sided, there are so many options. I think it adds just the right amount of femininity that the album needs. I love that I was able to mix it with one of the cards ("true story") from the Seafoam kit. AND how could you not love that green? Yep! Favorite color of mine.
Now the BEST part? That kit and all it's accessories are on sale!
Pretty nice. Even if you have already picked up your kit for the year, this one is at such a great value why not mix and match throughout the year. OR maybe you haven't jumped on board yet?!? Perfect opportunity to try this "Project Life" stuff out! *hint*hint* This is also a perfect kit if you are thinking of doing a heritage album. Take a peek at Becky Higgin's blog to see some amazing samples.

LOVE the mix of square and rounded corners! You're living on the wild side, girl! =) I can truthfully say I have never in my life seen a bikini-clad girl and a Christmas tree in the same photo. Fun!
