The week that Fall was in full bloom... can I say Fall and bloom together?
We have my treasure collectors/book publishers, roller skate riders, leaf jumpers, book readers (Sam brought home the "All about Me" book from school. Each child in his class has a page about them in the book!), a really wet cold trick or treat in the Square, soccer (along with new pumpkin hunting and our Christmas card photo shoot), and a trip to see family!
Lots of words again, so lots of typing with a little bit of my handwriting. I have noticed I have been on a typing kick to get my stories complete.
I had LOTS of pictures I wanted to include for this weekend. We braved the cold rain to Trick-or-Treat in the Square on Friday. As Elsie said, "It was cold, but fun!" Which was my journaling for that day that I put on the label sticker. And see those tabs, I added lots more pictures...
On Saturday, Elsie had soccer in the morning. Yes, I have lots of pictures from previous weeks, but I just really loved how this picture captured Elsie. Just got lucky with it, and it needed to be printed out and displayed. We also had to go pumpkin shopping for Elsie. Friday night, we had some lovely teenagers rampage our house. Of course, they left Sam's but got both of Elsie's pumpkins. Then we finished the afternoon off with an impromptu Christmas card photo shoot! AND we got a pretty good shot ;)
On Sunday, Chris took the kids to Bellefontaine for a family visit with lots of family fun. Elsie's highlight, her very first horse ride. One happy girl. Sam's highlight, playing race cars with the boys. Yep. Those are my kids!
Instead of doing an insert, I used my sewing machine to stitch on two additional 4x6 pockets to Saturday and Sunday. I do have those 4x6 picture pockets you can buy that just stick on that I used here, but they overlap quite a bit. I didn't like that for the outside day. So, I cut up a normal divided page protector and stitch them on.
Pretty darn simple and effective.
Product Used: Becky Higgins Clementine Kit, Zig Photo Signature pen (black), Zig Writer (wheat), My Mind's Eye Decorative Tape, Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Granite, Bohemian Typewriter Font, Martha Stewart label sticker, Avery self-adhesive index tabs.

Hi Shelly,
I'm visiting from the link on Becky's Blog today. :) I really like how you mix the square and rounded corners on your pages. I love the white borders and the little tags. They make the photos pop even more. I may have to try that on my digital pages. :) Thanks for the inspiration!
