Still sharing our 2012 memories!
Week 43:
Lots happening the week before Halloween! We celebrated Elsie's half-birthday. How is that girl 6 1/2 years old? Some car track action, a lunch with Elsie, Trick or Treating at the Lodi Outlets, A full birthday celebration for me AND I got to spend the day with Elsie at her school Halloween party, pumpkin carving, and an afternoon movie.
With lots of extra pictures, I went with a typed summary of the week's happenings on two journal cards. I love that I could have so much recorded in one week with that method.
After we walked out of the movie on Sunday, we spotted a photo booth. Elsie knows I am a sucker for a photo op, so we all jumped in. Of course, Chris wasn't into it at first... but he warmed up to the idea.
Week 44 - Halloween:
We had some everday dinosaur play and a soccer get-together with because the final game was canceled because of weather. Halloween was post-poned because of weather and there was no school on Tuesday, so Thursday was Sam's Halloween party. Friday brought on Elsie's school book fair. Saturday, was Trick or Treating time. Sunday was candy time.
Since our Trick or Treating was post-poned until Saturday, I just included a shot of some Halloween cards that we sent out.
The funny story of the week came from Sam. While Sam and I were walking out of the school after the book fair, he was running on ahead of me. He then stopped cold, took a few steps back, gazed into a classroom, and yelled to me that he was seeing a dying person! I laughed, walked up, and that is what I saw. He cracks me up. BUT he was totally serious. Very worried for that dying person in there.
