May 06 - May 12, 2013 | Week 19
The week of Mother's Day! This is my third week of using Studio Calico's April Project Life kit called Spencer's. What can I say; I was on a roll with this kit.
I went with a summary card again with all the 4x6 photo slots. The bummer of it all, when I put this card through my printer it grabbed wrong, so it went through a little wonky. Oh well. I don't have a second card, so it is what it is.
This week we start off with Elsie reading to Sam right after school. She couldn't wait to share a new book that she picked out from the school library. I just sat on the porch and took it all in. It is so nice that we have these kinds of moments here. Tuesday, we helped Sam fill out his Student of the Week poster for Wonderful Wednesdays. This picture totally needed to be a big ol' 6x8 photo. It sums up Sam in one big nutshell. I love it. For Wednesday, I got a shot of our nightly scene in our house. We snuggle up on the couch to watch our favorite shows with Maggie close by.
I picked up Sam from school on Thursday just to be surprised with my special Mother's day gift from him. He decorated a coffee mug with some crape paper squares, planted a purple petunia, and made a special card, which I included in a flipup.
It was Elsie's big pajama day at school on Friday. She also included a teacher appreciation gift. I know she made then each a card, but I my memory is failing as to why she had them in bags. On Saturday, they had a little Harry Potter playtime in the backyard with spells and things. Elsie had been begging to watch the Harry Potter movies... we gave in, and they love them. They are a few into the series by this time and casting spells is just part of play time now. Then on Sunday, I was one lucky Mom.
I also included a 12x12 page protector to include my present from Elsie.
I guess she loves my chicken pot pie and spaghetti & meatballs. I can take total credit for the chicken pot pie concoction, but the spaghetti & meatballs is my own mom's yummy recipe.
And she did a great job of completing her promise list! I am one lucky Mom, indeed.
