August 12 - August 18, 2013 | Week 33
The last week of summer vacation for Little Miss Elsie.
This week I went with the colorful Honey Edition. I am lucky to have a very good friend who also does Project Life who I traded a few cards with! It has been kind of fun to be able to dabble with a few different editions this year, as opposed to just using one edition for the entire year like I have done for the first 4 years of this adventure. I have learned to keep things simple and roll with just one edition when I get time to sit down and document a few weeks at a time.
We kicked off the week with some Littlest Pet Shop playtime. I don't even remember the last time these babies saw the light of day, but it was pretty nice to see them play with them again! Tuesday we hit Buckeye Woods to search for some caterpillars on the milkweed, but it was another unsuccessful mission. We still have fun roaming around and playing on the play set. Wednesday was an impromptu trip to the Cleveland Zoo with friends and a late night shopping trip to stock up on a few much needed supplies before school started. Thursday, Elsie had "Meet the Teacher" night. I think she is going to have another wonderful school year!
Friday was Chipotle night, of course! Saturday brought us a trip to the ever so fun Toys R Us. Sam received a coupon in the mail for his birthday, and he was itching to use it. He couldn't wait to find some of his "mixed up dinosaurs." Lucky for us, we found the last one there. Unfortunately, I don't think they make them anymore. Such a bummer. He really loved collecting them. Sunday, it was time for Elsie to paint her Daisy Troop's bridge for her big bridging ceremony that will be next week. I also included a shot of Elsie's school supplies all labeled and ready for school the next day!
Supplies Used: Becky Higgins A page protectors, Becky Higgins Honey Core Kit Edition, Becky Higgins Date Stamp, American Crafts Dear Lizzy Date stamp, American Crafts Memory Marker, Versafine (Onyx Black), Bohemian Typewriter Font.
I am also linked up with The Mom Creative for Project Life Tuesday.
