January 06 - January 12, 2014 | Week 2
The week that they were suppose to go back to school, but only had one day. It was "too cold" for all of these Ohio-ans.
This week, I used the new My Mind's Eye Now & Then Collection. They added a new part of their line with lots of fun 3x4 journal cards. I have to say that I am a fan. I LOVE that they are thin and easy to slide through my printer without getting jammed. Some cards are on the thick side and tend to cause me some heart ache going through my printer, but these do not. They are great. I know some people aren't a fan of thin cards, but I am. They take up less bulk in my album and run through my printer like a summer breeze. I miss summer.
I also shared this week on the My Mind's Eye Blog a few weeks back. You can see more of that HERE.
Since we didn't have school most of the week, we tried making the most of it with a library trip on Monday for some good reads. Tuesday, Elsie had her very first basketball practice, which she loved. Wednesday, we drove up to Chris' fancy office to sell some Girl Scout cookies and have a special lunch date.
Thursday was another low key no school day, but we did get to go roller skating with the Girl Scouts in the evening. Friday, Elsie was back to school and my boy and I were on our own again. He has been ALL about his mixed bag of Legos to create with his imagination. I love that. Saturday, there was more Lego craziness. Like I said, there has been a lot of Lego fun around this house. Sunday, they were all about getting out on the ice that formed on the pool. I wasn't brave enough to test it out. It was pretty slippery. I really didn't need to fall on my bottom. It was nice to finally see them back outside enjoying some fresh air though!
