I have been cranking away at my album, and since Typepad is finally letting me post pictures (one reason why I have been MIA)... well, I thought it would be a great time to share week one with everyone! You know, since it is now mid May.
Begining of the week:
I picked up the kids 2011 Holiday ornaments, SNOW actually made an appearance with a hot chocolate treat, our Elsie bug came down with a bug, and we signed our savings away for a pool.
End of the week:
The boy plays with something other than dinosaurs, winter disappears, last day for the Christmas tree, and some Lego fun.
I also had a little insert.
Closer up:
One of the guys at work decided to play a joke on Chris. He was wearing his Michigan attire in Buckeye-land. The cop was happy to write him up.
Silly, yes.
And that is the week that started 2012.

So, I am a bit of a slacker. BUT I am ready to take on 2012. Yes. It is April. BUT that is OK with me. I've been keeping up with my pictures, just not working on my album. BUT that is about to change...
Here is my title page I just finished up!
Here is the other side of that...
I wasn't sure what to do with this side, so we each signed a card... should be interesting to see how these change.
Here is the full spread...
Since I like to run my weeks Mon-Sunday, January 1st got it's own deal...
AND there you have it! Now on to the next...

OK. Just a hop, skip, and a little jump to week 44 in the week in the life of the Jaquets ;) I am a little behind on posting updates. So, I thought I would just jump ahead to share with everyone. I have been still moving along with my documenting our everyday, and I will have to take pictures of the "lost" weeks to share as we go along. I'll update that on the right side bar.
A glance at our busy week of October 24-30th.
I added some additional pictures for this week. Monday started off with me helping in Elsie's classroom, carving pumpkins, running around playing outside on Tuesday, a special birthday celebration on Wednesday with a surprise guest...
On Thursday, we did some last minute shopping and prepping for costumes, Friday brought me back into Elsie's classroom for her Halloween party, we had Elsie and coach Dad's last soccer game of the season, and snuggles on the couch for Sunday. In the extra pockets, I had a shot of Elsie & I at her party, and Sam in his costume he made at school for his party.

Soooo... It's been awhile ;)
Since I had this one done, thought I would still share it. (yikes APRIL. I am really behind on this!)
We just got back from our Florida adventures... Dad stayed home on Monday and joined us at Story Time, I still have one silly dino-boy sporting a new way to show off his brand new T-Rex, one happy puppy to be home, and my silly boy dancing it up to Will.i.am on Seasame Street (this is one of his favorite songs on there!).
A little Easter craftiness, a trip to the toy store and a visit from Grandpa & Grandma, and a sunny Sunday spent outside (nice matching plaid shirts).

Awe... Week 14... the vacation week! I did it.
It took awhile for me to decide how I was going to document this week, but I think I am happy enough with it. Although after looking at it, I think next time we go on a vacation like this, I will just fill the main pages with pictures with a journal log of all the events in an added page protector.
First half of the week...
We had a downpour of rain all day Monday. After chillin' at the house, we bailed and hit all of the big fancy souvenir shops. Elsie insisted on going to the "Mermaid," "Wizard," and "Animal one." Guess all those big fancy stores know how to catch the attention of an almost 5-year-old. Tuesday was DISNEY! and a late night at that. The kiddies had a blast there. Wednesday was all about the pool at that house.
Thursday, they predicted more rain... we weren't going to go through that again. We hit the road and drove southeast. We found ourselves at Pepper Beach in St. Lucy; the perfect day and beach for us. Sam even felt comfortable enough to be in the water this time. Friday was Downtown Disney, where we hit up the T-Rex Cafe and the biggest Disney Store ever. Sam wasn't feeling too well, so we headed back to the house for naps and swimming. Saturday, everyone hit the road. So sad to leave. AND then Sunday was back to normal life again with winter jackets.
Here are a few of my inserts...
Extra Disney, beach, and around the house pictures.
Extra Downtown Disney and swimming from Friday's adventures.
I am not sure if I will keep these in there, but here are Elsie and Sam's Birth Certificates for their Build-a-Dino Dinosaurs, and Elsie's Princess Parade card :)
More added goodies of receipts and pamphlets... not too sure if these will stay either, but I have them there for now.

Yes people, I did Week 13. I realize I still have quite a few more to work on, but I am moving in the right direction. I am just really struggling with what to do with all my goodies that came along with our vacation.
So here is the first half of the week...
We have playing on the swing set, some talking animals, some modeling & dancing after a shopping trip to gear Elsie up for our trip, and Elsie showing Sam how to play school.
The second half of the week...
Let the trip begin! We drove all day and stopped in South Carolina for the night. Elsie and Sam thought this was a huge deal to be sleeping in a hotel AND in the same bed. We woke up the next day to hit the road and made it to our destination. After some dinner and grocery shopping, we were the first in the pool. On Sunday, we made our way to the ocean for some sun and beach time. Elsie was all about the water; Sam was all about the sand.
I have some other ephemera that could go with this weekend, but I am thinking of just putting it in the next week's section just because. BUT we shall see.

Another fun-filled week!
A fresh haircut, meeting a new friend, Target trip in which we came home with Ice Age 1 & 3 (Sam was all about 3 because it had dinosaurs).
St. Patrick's Day celebration, a lazy morning, a sleeping boy (love the socks on his hands... that's his thing), and first day of Spring!
And a few little extra shots of St. Patty's Day. The weather this week has been awesome, so the kiddies have had tons of outdoor time!

Another week.
We had crafty-ness, "school day" breakfast, homework (love that Sam insists on doing homework too), and dinner out with family.
Some silly playtime on the computer, playtime (love that Sam can "boy-up" any girly fun), and some clean carpets! woot!
On Friday, we had our little meeting to bring in Elsie's Kindergarten paperwork. She got a little "Welcome to Medina City Schools" care package including a shirt. The lady there was sweet and even gave one to Sam. I even got to use my brand new fancy Bee stamp :)
