I have a post up at the My Mind's Eye Blog today sharing my love of Project Life. This go around, I am using the My Mind's Eye Winder Wonderland Collection to document our family Christmas celebrations Project Life style.
Week 51: Leading up to the Christmas madness!
We have Elsie wrapping her gift for the giving tree at school, dinosaur love, morning art, Christmas gift from Elsie (the cutest melted showman, ever.), Sam's Christmas party at school, opening up the first Christmas gifts of the season from us, neighborhood Christmas get-together, drive up North, decorating Christmas cookies.
I initially put the title card for this week to the 23rd, but I think I will change that to the 30th. I added lots of pictures throughout the Holiday week, and I think it would be best just to introduce the next two weeks on this one card. You will see why...
I did a lot of summarizing multiple days on a card to make room for all my pictures.
I also did tabs and tags when the pictures told the story all by themselves. Easy peasy!
Week 52: Christmas Chaos!
This week I have documented over the next two layouts. That way, I was able to get all the pictures I wanted to show. Works perfectly for me!
... a little close up of the Christmas fun.
I did the story of Christmas Eve and Christmas all on one card to keep things simple.
The days following Christmas with plenty more family fun.
... Sledding and then family game night.
We said goodbye to Gram DiDi & Bumpa and continued on to some more Christmas fun with Grandma & Grandpa Jaquet and Alison & Luke. We even got to meet their dog, Lucy. Unfortunately, she wasn't a fan of Maggie. They had to take turns being part of our fun. I did notice that I did get them both into pictures though!
AND there you have it! Our Christmas is documented and recorded just like that. No stress, just pretty pictures and memories that will last forever now. Just like I like it.
i saw your page on becky's blog and it is fantastic! in fact, i've browsed more of your pages here and love your look all around. i know i should recognize the kits/product you are using, and sometimes i do, but in general i find myself wondering what cute stuff that is. is there somewhere you say which kits you've chosen for the year or describe how you get your cute type on your cards? if not, please share!

Hi Shelly . . I found your blog via the MME email updates I get . . . when I saw your PL post today I had to pop over and check out the rest of your blog. I absolutely LOVE your PL style . . I've never seen pages done like yours and I am totally going to try to do some of my journaling like you do, which seems so much more logical than what I've been doing. Thank you for sharing . . . I've added your blog to my favorites now so I can continue to glean ideas from you!

I am not sure if I have ever called out which kits I worked with throughout the years. But here is the list!
2009: Original CK kit
2010: Cherry Edition
2011: Amber Edition
2012: Clementine Edition (a few other random manufactures’ products)
2013: I will be working mainly with Seafoam with parts of the Studio Calico’s Project Life monthly kit and some My Mind’s Eye to start my year off! With Becky creating so many more amazing kits, I will probably pick up another kit or two along the way.
This post that you commented on, I used mostly the My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland collection. They have a great Accessory pad, 6x6 paper pad, and a sheet of pattern paper called “Tags” that was perfect for documenting Christmas.
It there is a specific product that I have already shown in question just let me know what post, and I will get back to you! From now on, I will make a point of listing what I used on my pages J
As for the type on the cards, I use a font called Bohemian Typewriter that you can download free online. I haven’t done a tutorial of how I print my journaling yet. I know there are some out there already, but I can plan on doing that in a future post.
Thank you so much for your nice comments and for stopping by!
Shelly
