{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 30

July 21 - July 27, 2014 | Week 30

The end of T-Ball, the last week at Hobby Horse {at least for the next three years}, and plenty of summer fun. 

I used a mix of Studio Calico's June 2014 Hello, Hello and July 2014 Penny Arcade Project Life kits along with Becky Higgins Strawberry Core Kit Edition. 

We had the final T-ball game for Sam. He really enjoyed it, but he is so ready to do coach-pitch next year. Sam also kept John smiling for the camera. I tell ya, that baby does not like smiling for the camera. Every time we had him smiling... it was over once that strange black thing came out. Too funny. 

We also had some swinging time, Sam's official last day at Summer Camp. It was a little bitter-sweet. We will see you in three years for John! The biggest news of the week... Sam is officially on two-wheels. I knew he had it in him. For such a crazy wild child, he was not into riding that bike without his training wheels.

July 14 - July 20, 2014 | Week 29

Enjoying more of our summer along with prepping for school. 

This week, I used mostly Studio Calico's June 2014 Hello, Hello Project Life kit. I pulled the labels from another kit, but I am not sure which one. Like I said from last week, I am in love with these bright summery colors! 

This week, we hit the library for the kids second reading prize and a fresh batch of books. We played at the school's playground for a little bit. I got a shot of John's "typical" nightly spot while Chris and I chat and catch-up on our television shows. Sam started "Under the Sea" Summer Camp. Going everyday has obviously been pooping him out. I went up to his room to get him for dinner, and this is how I found him. I love my sleepy Star Wars loving boy. 

Sam's Summer Camp has brought a little homework for him. He gets a color sheet to color in each day. He has actually been fully coloring them in, which is not typical for my boy. I love watching him go to town with all of his colors. Friday was the final day for "Under the Sea." He brought home lots of pretty little things to show off. He has been one busy boy! Saturday was a Target run for school supplies. If you ask me, it was way too early for this, but if you don't jump on it early enough we run into empty shelves! I am not a fan of running around to multiple stores to get it all. Sunday was spent with our friends in the pool. A great end to the week. 

I may be behind, but I so LOVE this project.

Back to our normal everyday summer life along with a few guests. 

This week was documented using a mix of Studio Calico's June 2014 Hello, Hello along with July 2014 Penny Arcade kits. I am all about these bright bold colors full of summer happiness! 

Being back from our trip, meant a trip to the library to collect their prizes for reading and then an impromptu lunch at Chipotle. My silly Sam chose some interesting footwear for playing in the sandbox, and the littlest had his two month check-up along with double shots in both legs. 

We had friends over for a play date and special family guests came for a visit too. We went through two closets that were in disparate need of a purge.

One {Anatomy of a Double Page Layout}

I am back with a post up for my series Anatomy of a Double Page Layout on the My Mind's Eye Blog today. It is all about baby Elsie! Yes, my littlest man might have just turned the big ONE, but I am also documenting my nine-year-old baby girl at the age of one too. It is crazy how time really flies by faster and faster with each passing year. I absolutely love going back in time via scrapbooking. Oh the memories. {Sigh}

Our Fourth of July Summer celebration in the great North. 

{Yes, it has been awhile! I have been playing catch-up with my 2014 album. Now, I just need to the extra time and energy to take photos of each week so that I can share with all of you. I am not giving up. I am not stressing about how "behind" I really am. Nope, I know how easy it is to pull these precious memories together and how totally worth it this process is. I absolutely love Project Life.} 

When it comes to our Fourth of July celebration up North, it always means plenty of extra pictures. So, it was only natural to have an additional insert to document our adventures. Becky Higgins Design G is my absolute favorite when it comes to inserts. 

 

I have been widdling away at my collection of Studio Calico Project Life kits for this 2014 album. This week was mostly completed using July 2014 Project Life Penny Arcade Kit along with the Fourth of July add-on cards. I am so happy I picked those extra cards up. They were just too perfect! 

Here we had a lots of cousin playtime, meeting aunties, beach water, and softball games.

Then we celebrated the Fourth of July with a parade and family time. 

This is were I added to the SC July kit. The black/white journal card is from June 2014 and the red/white stripe is from My Mind's Eye Jubilee Collection.

... and of course some more cousin time. This time there were big cousins and little cousins. 

Then, there was a little guy who turned two months old! Where did that little baby go? Wow, he is such a cute little chunker. Oh my. My heart. I love that little guy. You will have to excuse the blurry picture. It is a shot of my parents with the kids. My mom was still in her jammies when we headed out the door, and had said that I was not allowed to put this picture out there. So, I am just being a good daughter just for her. I love you, Mom.
