{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 43

October 20 - October 26, 2014 | Week 43

Goodbye to Fall Soccer and Hello 36!

This week, I went ahead and continued using my Studio Calico's The Underground October 2014 kit along with a couple of cards from Becky Higgins Boys Rule Value Kit. I also had a few extra pictures of that I wanted to include, so I added a small extra insert. This year, I am definitely adding in lots more extra photos. This album is a THICK one, but it's going to all fit in one heavy album!

We started off with an afternoon at the library, a movie night for me, a lunch date at McD's, new tires for my car, Star Wars watching kids, a half-birthday for Elsie, last evening of putting those shoes on for soccer practice, and an evening at the Akron Zips girls' soccer game. 

Then we had our final Soccer Saturday. It was a great Fall Season for those two mini mights. Sunday brought another year older from me. The kids were even happy to please me with family photo time for our annual Christmas card. I have to say, that was one awesome present they could have given me. Some years, it's not a fun deal at all.

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 42

October 13 - October 19, 2014 | Week 42

It was a rough week of sickies with a ridiculous amount of movies watched.

This week was documented using Studio Calico's The Underground October 2014 Project Life kits. This kit just fell right together for how this week presented itself. That "Work. Play. Rest." card just fit beautifully for this week's pictures and events, and I got to recycle that tag card from the previous week. I got to use both sides! Bonus.

This week was all about work for me... what was on my desk,  a little bit of play for the baby and boy, and plenty of rest for the boy. He came down with a bug, and man did I have a hard time keeping that boy resting. I would give him Tylenol and within no time he would be running around again. So, we watched LOTS of movies. It was the only thing that would slow him down so that his body could rest. 

Yes, he got so bored being sick. I felt so bad that I was torchering him by making him rest of the couch. He was done watching movies, and so was I. Luckily by the end of the week, he got his wish. The kids worked on raking the backyard for me even! Such a lucky Mom, I am. We then had a Halloween Party at a friend's house on Saturday. On Sunday, Elsie and I went on a hayride for Girl Scouts and cozy family movie time that evening. You know, cause we hadn't watch enough of them yet. HA!

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 41

October 06 - October 12, 2014 | Week 41

Fall is officially all around us.

I absolutely love fall... and it as arrived for us here! This was completed using Studio Calico's October 2014 Underground Project Life kits along with that coral journal card from Becky Higgins Coral Core Kit. 

We had a poor little baby with a nasty eye infection, some yummy fall treats, a happy baby, and two kids that ran an obstacle coarse at school to raise money for their playground. 

We had two silly boys. I can't say it enough, I love watching these two together. We had Trick-or-Treating in the Square, a very happy baby again, and little kiddies playing games outside. 

Because I couldn't resist this cute baby... I had to add in an extra flip-out. I mean come on, look at him! I've made these flip-up or flip-outs before. I simply trim a page protector to get the correct size pocket and stitch it right on with my sewing machine.

September 29 - October 05, 2014 | Week 40

Goodbye pool season. Hello 5 months!

This one was mostly done with Studio Calico's Poet Society September 2014 Project Life kits. Other than the grey 4x6 journal card. That was from an older 2013 kit. 

We had a swim in the pool, pizza night with a custom pizza box, "better late than never" thank you cards, and outside art time.

Then we had our final swim of 2014. Goodbye sweet pool days, we will miss you. We also had a sleepy little thumb-sucker who turned 5 months old, and cooler soccer Saturdays.

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 39

September 22 - September 28, 2014 | Week 39

Trying to fit in a little bit more summer before fall completely takes over.

 

This week I used a mix of Studio Calico's Poet Society September 2014 Project Life kits and Becky Higgins Coral Core Kit Edition. I really love the Coral Kit. I was grabbing from that kit quite a bit as I completed the rest of my fall pages. 

This week we had a monkey in the tree, enjoyed our "baby time" in the evening, introduced our neighbors to the best dinner place ever, a Target run with lunch, and some fancy new Star Wars shoes for the big boy. 

Chris took the kids on a camping trip. I chose to stay home with the baby. I just wasn't up for a camping trip with the baby and there was no way our Maggie dog could handle it either. The kids totally enjoyed their "Daddy" time though! We also squeezed in some pool time and found a little friend that same day in our backyard. I love these kids.

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 38

September 15 - September 21 2014 | Week 38

I have two silly boys who adore each other and one helpful little girl who is in school all day long.

This week was completed using Studio Calico's September 2014 Poet Society Project Life kits again. I also added in the two black cards from Becky Higgins High Five Core Kit. I am totally loving the pop of black!

We started the week off with some brother time. Sam only has kindergarten in the morning, so when he gets off the bus the first thing he does is run for John to see what he is up to. Sam is such a great big brother to John. I love watching their special relationship that they have between each other. There was also plenty of story time and nap time too. That little guy loves to suck his thumb. He takes after his Mamma in that department. 

Sam had his well-visit and it proves that he has been growing like a weed. The kids got t-shirts from school. Each class received a different color. We also went to the zoo on Saturday. It was Girl Scout Day so we were lucky to get free tickets. The week was finished off with laundry. Fun fun laundry. It was nice to have some help in that department too!

September 08 - September 14, 2014 | Week 37

Life continuing with school in full force and hints of fall around us.

This week was documented using primarily Studio Calico's September 2014 Poet Society Project Life kits. That "Today" card came from Becky Higgins Plus One mini kit by Amy Tangerine. I just needed a little black on this layout too, I guess! 

This week we had some games played outside with a friends, John's 4 Month check-up, he also started to really take control of his hands for a long period of time! It's so fun to look back at this chunky little baby. Where did the time go!? ... also, I have to say that I am happy to see at least one picture with Elsie in it. I get worried because once school starts, she just isn't around as much as the other two. 

We have afternoon play dates, trips to the library for a good book, apple season, soccer season, a fresh haircut, and a boy with his Daddy and dog. ... Oh, how I miss that dog.

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 36

September 01 - September 07, 2014 | Week 36

The best game ever, Logo craziness, Steelers, soccer, and Castaway Bay fun.

 

This week was all about bold colors! Becky Higgins Sunshine Edition was all I needed for that. 

We scored tickets to the Tiger-Indians and watched our Tigers beat on those Indians. Nice. AND a little girl scored a game ball. She was one proud girl! We hit the Lego Store for the free-build and Sam cashed in some of his birthday money to get a couple of his most desired Star Wars sets at that time. The week was filled with building those bad boys. It amazes me how awesome he his at putting those sets together on his own. We also got a special Steelers happy mail package... the kids always get excited to see a brown box from Aunt Ann! 

For the tickets, I simply used my exacto knife and a ruler to slice open the opposite side of this 3x4 pocket. With the opening on the other side, I needed one of this side too. It's just small enough so that the tickets can slide on through it. 

Our little man turned 4 months old. Wow! I love his chunky legs in that picture. There was more Lego building, soccer Saturdays have begun, and the big ones went with their Dad to Castaway Bay for the day while it was just me and my little dude to shop and eat at my favorite place.

August 25 - August 31, 2014 | Week 35

Happy, Happy Birthday SAM!

This week I started off with Studio Calico's August 2014 Sandlot Project Life kit, but I ended up mixing in plenty of Becky Higgins Core Kits too. I started my page off with the two blue cards on each end. That is when I stumbled on the Coral Core Kit. Oh I love those colors! I added the title card from that kit. The "enjoy" card is from the Favorite Things Core Kit. Another great kit with plenty of bold colors with lots of black to anchor it all with. 

We started the week with homework. There's nothing like being back in school, right! Sam officially turned 6 years old on Tuesday. I got to come into his classroom to bring in a treat and watch them sing "Happy Birthday." Watching a kids face as that song is sung just for them is just too precious. There was lots of quality Gram DiDi time too. Elsie was all about reading to her each night.

We then said our goodbyes to Gram. It is never easy to see her go, but lucky for us, she comes often! Then there was my silly boy with his lunch. He loves his lunchables. ... AND Star Wars. Which is watched in our house constantly. But don't worry, we get our exercise  and fresh air time in too.

{365} Project Life 2014 | Week 34

August 18 - August 24, 2014 | Week 34

Goodbye summer. Hello school days.

This was another big week for the book. The kiddies headed back to school, and we celebrated Sam's SIXTH birthday! This week was documented using Studio Calcio's August 2014 Penny Arcade Project Life kits. I loved being able to pull out those bold primary colors!

We had our last official day of Summer Vacation. It was a good one. We prepped the school supplies, Elsie had her first day of 3rd grade, and the following day Sam had his first day of Kindergarden! This was the first year they were able to ride the bus too. How fun was that for them. I got to say, it was pretty darn nice for this Mamma too! No more driving back and forth. No more car pools. Awe... sweet yellow bus, we love you!

My mom came into town, I got Sam's cake made, and we celebrated my boy turning six with a pool party with a few of his best buddies. With my mom in town, we also got to go on a little hike with Elsie's girl scout troop without worring about our little John, who happened to start rolling over from his back to his belly!
