{365} Project Life 2013 | St. Patrick's Day (Week 11 - Bonus)

I guess this is showing you how far behind I am with completing my album right now? My little secret is out. BUT I have to tell you, I am A-OK with that. I actually prefer to have several weeks to play and catch up with at a time. I keep taking my pictures each day, and that to me is "all caught up."

... So anyway.

This is what our St. Patrick's Day looked like this year. We had a sneaky visit from a tricky Leprechaun.

I typed up my journaling with an old typewriter, so please excuse all of my spelling mistakes. Elsie put up signs around the house as a preventive measure, but that Leprechaun must not have seen the "make a mess" sign until he tossed dinosaurs all about the living room.

But good thing he did see this one. Although, Elsie was a little disappointed that he didn't leave real gold and silver. I got to say, it would have been nice if it was real. Too bad leprechauns are so tricky!

And here is my favorite part of the whole thing. The kiddies are always up for a little paint mess. I had them make their own clovers using their finger prints. The blank grid cards that Becky Higgins makes are perfect for stuff like this.

Documenting Christmas: Project Life Style

I have a post up at the My Mind's Eye Blog today sharing my love of Project Life. This go around, I am using the My Mind's Eye Winder Wonderland Collection to document our family Christmas celebrations Project Life style.

Week 51: Leading up to the Christmas madness!

We have Elsie wrapping her gift for the giving tree at school, dinosaur love, morning art, Christmas gift from Elsie (the cutest melted showman, ever.), Sam's Christmas party at school, opening up the first Christmas gifts of the season from us, neighborhood Christmas get-together, drive up North, decorating Christmas cookies.

I initially put the title card for this week to the 23rd, but I think I will change that to the 30th. I added lots of pictures throughout the Holiday week, and I think it would be best just to introduce the next two weeks on this one card. You will see why...

I did a lot of summarizing multiple days on a card to make room for all my pictures.

I also did tabs and tags when the pictures told the story all by themselves. Easy peasy!

 

Week 52: Christmas Chaos!

This week I have documented over the next two layouts. That way, I was able to get all the pictures I wanted to show. Works perfectly for me!

I did the story of Christmas Eve and Christmas all on one card to keep things simple.

The days following Christmas with plenty more family fun.

We said goodbye to Gram DiDi & Bumpa and continued on to some more Christmas fun with Grandma & Grandpa Jaquet and Alison & Luke. We even got to meet their dog, Lucy. Unfortunately, she wasn't a fan of Maggie. They had to take turns being part of our fun. I did notice that I did get them both into pictures though! 

AND there you have it! Our Christmas is documented and recorded just like that. No stress, just pretty pictures and memories that will last forever now. Just like I like it.

Goodbye 2012... Hello 2013!

Our Christmas was a whirl wind of family and traveling here to there & back again.

We spent time with my side of the family...

We spent time with Chris' side of the family...

We made our way back home to ring in the New Year ...

Yes, we stayed up way too late. This picture was taken at 2:28AM. Yes, my children were still awake, but they were amazing. Of course, they were able to make it through this crazy night with a little help from an early evening nap. Elsie made that cool last minute 2013 sign for our picture too, just as she did the year before. Perfect. The holiday season was absolutely amazing, but it is kind of nice to get back to our normal lives again.

Now... bring on 2013!

... And then there was December.

Well, I am not sure where November went. All I know is that December is here, which brought us our awesome holiday guest, Rexie!

As you can clearly see, the kiddies are not excited at all. Nope. Not. At. All. Our elf is back, our books are wrapped and ready for reading each night, and our house is being prepped for illumination as I type. Now, I just have to figure out how I am going to get everything done in the next 24 days!

Last year, I did my very first December Daily. It’s a mini album of all the fun little things we did during the holiday season. I have the greatest intention to do another one this year, but I am not quite sure how I will fit that in. BUT I do have the album. I do have the stuff. (Of course, I have plenty of stuff.) I just don’t have a proper working printer, which is putting a little crimp in my plans. I will figure it out though. Last year’s album is one of my very favorite projects I have done. A Happy Easter...

We colored our eggs on Friday...

We had our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday...

We woke up on Easter Sunday to find that a bunny had visited...

This little girl ran around the house collecting everything in sight.

While this little boy figured out he could just sit and open up all of his treasures, while that little girl did the work. What a smarty pants he is.

Of course we got dressed in our Easter Sunday best...

Happy Halloween!

Christmas run-down...

Well, that was a whirl wind!

 

First stop, was way up North. Lots of family time, lots of craziness, lots of fun.

 

We have one happy Uncle and three silly kiddies... and one making a dash for it.

 

Two lucky little girls with new American Girl Dolls, Ruthie and Elizabeth. AND one silly Auntie.

 

We had one crazy messy fun Christmas morning. These kiddies must have been pretty darn good!

 

We also have 7 Grandkids with two happy Grands.

 

We had lots of cousin playtime with sledding and an afternoon spent at the bowling alley. Can I just mention that I rocked it hard core and beat everyone the second game... booo-ya!

 

Then we headed slightly South for some more family fun.

 

... where there were some feirce Hungry Hungry Hip Games to be had.

 

... and one little boy who was just a little bit excited. ... ok. so he was this excited with ALL of his toys. That kid is just too cute! He wanted to savor every little present he opened up and didn't really want to move on to the next.

 

We made it home just in time to celebrate the new year, a new decade, with friends. The kiddies stayed up ALL night and did GREAT!

 

And when I said ALL night. This was taken when we got back to our house after a fun night of celebrating... 1:06AM. My kiddies are the coolest.

Now...

 

Back to real life. With lots of new toys to play with and lots of snow to play in.
